Fun in the Sun on the Oregon Coast

Not sure what to do with the kids now that summer has started? Trying to think of somewhere you and the family would enjoy together? The Oregon Coast is a perfect get away! During the month of June, Lincoln City and Depoe Bay have many activities and events that anyone would enjoy. From farmers markets to fireworks, where else would you go in June?
 













 





 

Gleneden Harvest Market
With summer just around the corner, local farmers markets are popping up all along the Oregon Coast. About 2 miles from Bella Beach, right next to the Side Door Café, local vendors pop open their tents and host a farmer’s market. On Thursdays from 11 am to 4 pm, Gleneden Harvest Market will provide fresh produce, canned goods, meat, and natural body care. A great place to stock up for a weekend of fresh and appetizing meals. Pixiefest
 If you’re a local to the Oregon Coast, you may remember an attraction full of family fun just north of Lincoln City. Originally opened as a family restaurant (Pixie Kitchen) in Lincoln City, a sister theme park was later built in Otis. Pixie Kitchen opened its doors to locals and travelers that were looking for a day of fun. Sadly, it closed in the mid-80s but the Kiwanis Club of Lincoln City and Chinook Winds Casino have collaborated and will be hosting Pixiefest! Happening right next to Chinook Winds, Pixiefest will be open June 24th -25th. This event will provide live music from local talents, carnival rides, and yummy treats for the whole family! This event supports local child-centric causes in Lincoln City, including Backpacks for Kids, Girl and Boy Scouts, scholarships and more. X-Kitement
Have you ever seen a kite dance to the beat of "Thriller" by Michael Jackson? Well, look no further! During June 24th-25th, Lincoln City will be hosting “ X-Kitement”, a weekend full of windy activities for the whole family! Taking place at D-River, in the center of Lincoln City, the kite festival will be featuring kite demonstrations by experts, free kite making for kids, and a sporting event usually held by kite enthusiast. Open Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm, X-Kitement is the perfect reason to get your feet in the sand. So, grab the family your beach chairs and take a weekend away at the beach!
 










 
 
 
Chinook Winds 22 nd Anniversary
th they will be hosting a Firework show! Take a trip the Chinook Winds Casino in Lincoln City, the show Starts at 10pm. Don’t forget your beach chair and firewood!24 during the weekend of June 24th, they are also celebrating their 22nd anniversary. All week Chinook Winds will be having drawings for lucky winners who are interested in testing their luck. Not only will there be money to win but on the night of the PixiefestNot only is Chinook winds hosting the  











 







 


Father's Day Idea: ZuhG Surf Shop

The relaxing hot tub on the front porch greets you as you enter the home. Upon entry, you will see the first queen bedroom with a flat screen TV and the first full bath with a stand-up shower. As you head up the stairs you are warmed and welcomed by a spacious open floor plan of the living room, kitchen and dining area. Cozy up with a cup of coffee by the beautiful stone gas fireplace, watch a movie on the flat screen TV with surround sound, play a board game with the kids or relax with your favorite beverage on one of the multiple decks to enjoy a peek of the ocean or a view of the lovely courtyard. There is something for everyone! Conveniently located off the kitchen there is a half bath with a full-size washer and dryer for your use.  
Traveling up the stairs one more time to the third level you have two bedrooms and two more full bathrooms. The master bedroom will make you feel right at home with a king size bed, flat screen tv, 

walk-in closet, and a large soaking tub. The third bedroom includes a queen size bed, a built-in twin bed and a flat screen TV with DVD player.

Please note: This home has a Full-size sleeper sofa in the living room that can accommodate up to two more additional guests. At a max occupancy of 7, should you choose to bring another guest or two (child or adult), you will need to make arrangements with the office and the charge is $10 extra per night per person.
